Setting up automated expiration dates for documents

Steps to configure document expiration Adding an expiration date ensures that signature requests are completed within a specific timeframe. Here’s how to set it up:

  1. Prepare the document:
    • Upload your document and complete the setup for participants and fields.
  2. Enable expiration settings:
    • In the Advanced Settings of the Review and Send step, toggle the Expiration Date option.
  3. Set the expiration date:
    • Enter the desired date and time for the document to expire.
    • Participants will no longer have access to sign the document after this date.
  4. Notify participants:
    • Optional: Add a custom message informing participants of the deadline.
  5. Save and send:
    • Finalize the settings and send the document.

Tip: Expiring documents can be re-sent with updated deadlines if needed.
