Understanding document statuses and what they mean

Explanation of document lifecycle statuses Signit uses the following statuses to indicate the progress of a document:

  1. Waiting on others:

    • The document is waiting for one or more participants to take action (e.g., signing or approving).
  2. Draft:

    • The document has been created but not yet sent to participants.
  3. Completed:

    • All required participants have signed the document, and it is finalized.
  4. Voided:

    • The document has been canceled, and no further actions can be taken.
  5. Expired:

    • The document’s expiration date has passed without being signed or completed.
  6. Declined:

    • A participant has declined to sign the document, preventing further progress.
  7. Awaiting your action:
    The document needs to be signed or approved by you to be completed.
